Dr. Nicole Gunter, Associate Curator of Invertebrate Zoology at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History studies the evolution of beetles with focus on Dung Beetles. Her research addresses how beetles are related to each other, why they are found in certain habitats and why they are so diverse. Dr. Gunter wants you to know that science isn't just a field of study, it's a way of life. Stay curious and keep asking questions. Observe from the world around you and learn from it. Scientific discoveries are endless and only limited by your imagination. "Get involved and don't give up. We need you too!"

Dr. Nicole Burt is the Curator of Human Health and Evolutionary Medicine at the Museum. She is a biological anthropologist that studies humans and their culture, with specific research on modern and ancient human diet and health. She reconstructs human diet to learn about obesity and food access in ancient humans. Dr. Burt wants aspiring scientists to let go of the fear of failure, and don’t worry about knowing everything. “If we knew all the answers, there’d be nothing new to explore.”

Ashley Hall, Adult Programs Coordinator at the Museum helps light the spark of curiosity in people of all ages. Ashley and the Education Department engage kids AND adults by showcasing the Museum’s research and collections, as well as through classes, field trips and events.
